How to get help
Use TEA's complaint intake resources to submit a written complaint with accurate names, school or district information, detailed facts and dates, people previously notified, available supporting records, and the requested action. Use emergency, child-abuse, or law-enforcement reporting channels separately when required.
Who this service helps
People reporting possible misconduct involving a certified educator or, depending on the allegation, non-certified school personnel, contractors, or service providers with direct student access. Educator investigations do not accept anonymous complaints.

TEA's Educator Investigations Division receives information from public complaints and other sources, reviews jurisdiction and evidence, and may investigate misconduct affecting educator certification, employment eligibility, professional ethics, or student safety. SBEC or the Commissioner may take authorized action after investigation and required proceedings.
