How to get help

Submit a written complaint identifying the complainant and subject, the applicable legal requirement, detailed facts and dates, supporting documents, the relief or action requested, and information showing completion of any required local process. Follow the current TEA submission instructions for the applicable complaint type.

Any person, group, or organization may file a formal complaint. The allegations must be within TEA jurisdiction, sufficiently supported, and generally concern violations occurring no more than two calendar years before filing; some matters require proof that local complaint steps were used.
