How to get help
Use TDHCA's eligibility quick check and connect with a TDHCA-approved loan officer. Complete an approved homebuyer education course and work with participating mortgage and real-estate professionals through the program process.
Who this service helps
First-time homebuyers who generally have not owned and occupied a primary residence during the preceding three years; qualified-veteran and targeted-area exceptions may apply. The current program matrix also requires a Texas principal residence, income and purchase-price limits, a minimum middle FICO score of 620, and HUD-certified homebuyer education.
