How to get help
Download and complete the approved BHEC complaint form, explain the suspected violation in plain narrative language, attach relevant documents, sign the form, and submit as directed. Keep copies because investigation materials are confidential and will not be returned.
Who this service helps
People reporting a possible violation by a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or social worker regulated by the Council. Most complaints must be filed within five years after services ended; special timelines apply to sexual-misconduct complaints.

About this service
The Council receives complaints concerning its regulated behavioral-health licensees. A signed complaint waives confidentiality as necessary for Enforcement Division review, and the complainant must provide a clear narrative and relevant supporting materials.
