How to get help
Give the manufacturer written notice and a final opportunity to repair, preserve repair records, and file through the Motor Vehicle Dealer Online Complaint System with the filing fee. The complaint is reviewed for completeness and eligibility; TxDMV attempts mediation before any hearing referral.
Who this service helps
Consumers who bought or leased a vehicle covered by the law and meet the defect, warranty, notice, repair-attempt, impairment or safety, and filing-deadline requirements. Used vehicles may have limited coverage when the original manufacturer's warranty still applies or the defect was timely reported under that warranty.
