How to get help

Applications are currently closed. Monitor official organization updates for the next application cycle. When a window opens, follow the published orientation and electronic-submission instructions; applications are initially reviewed first come, first served, and later steps include background checks, family selection, an interview, and board review. No step guarantees approval or a home.

Who this service helps

Applicants must demonstrate housing need, be willing to partner, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have acceptable credit with a score of at least 550, meet household-size income limits, complete required courses and sweat equity, and undergo criminal and sex-offender background checks. The eligibility page publishes 2025 maximum incomes at 80% of Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land median family income.
