How to get help
New clients must complete household intake and an individual profile for each household member, then use the online request portal. To be considered for the monthly random selection, a complete rental application must be submitted by the eighth day of the month; HAAM selects applications for review on the tenth and contacts selected applicants by the fifteenth.
Who this service helps
The applicant must live in a published HAAM service-area ZIP code and complete the application in full. Required documents include government photo identification for each adult, 30 days of income documentation for every adult, a current signed lease, a notice to vacate or eviction notice dated within the last 30 days, and current benefits documentation when applicable. Clients previously assisted with rent may be eligible again after 24 months.
