Call with the county, basic information about the legal issue, name, ZIP code, and telephone number. After receiving a referral, contact the lawyer to schedule the consultation. Online self-service resources are also available.

People seeking legal help in a county served by State Bar LRIS. Travis County users are referred to the certified local lawyer-referral service.

Service area: More than 246 Texas counties. Travis County users are directed to the certified local referral service; the State Bar service handles the other Central Texas counties.

Cost / fees
The referral is free. A referred lawyer provides up to a 30-minute consultation for no more than $20. Further representation is subject to fees agreed upon with the lawyer.
