The official page states that applications have not been accepted since July 3, 2025. Call 832-927-4985 for current program-status information; do not submit the linked pre-application forms unless the county announces reopening.
Who this service helps
Published requirements include household income at or below 65% of Area Median Income, ownership of the home for at least ten consecutive years before application, current property taxes or an approved payment plan, principal-residence and homestead-exemption status, U.S. citizenship or eligible immigrant status, and a single-dwelling home entirely within Harris County that can be reconstructed on the same site.
