Who this service helps
Applicants must be first-time homebuyers who have not owned a home during the prior three years, meet income requirements, have a credit score of at least 580, meet published debt-ratio limits, complete HUD-approved homeownership education, contribute at least $1,000, have no more than $30,000 in liquid assets, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien. The home must meet published price, location, and qualified-census-tract rules.
