How to get help
Submit the Veteran Services application through the official online form or downloadable application with supporting documents. Client Services evaluates the homeowner, and a housing inspector evaluates the property and repair scope. Email [email protected] or call 713-659-2511 with questions.
Who this service helps
The official page requires qualifying veteran status; household income at or below 80% of Greater Houston/Harris County Area Median Income; the applicant's name on the deed; full-time residence in and ownership of the single-family home; current property taxes or an official payment agreement; and ownership of no more than one property. Both the homeowner and home must qualify.

Approved repairs are provided at no cost to the homeowner, and Rebuilding Together Houston states that it does not place a property lien. Repair scope is limited and prioritized for safety according to available funding and grant requirements.
About this service
The Veterans program may provide roof restoration; repairs to structural, electrical, and plumbing systems; exterior repairs; and modifications or safety upgrades. The program is supported by a Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans' Assistance grant.
