Who this service helps
Applicants must be at least 18, provide proof of authorization to work in the United States, provide proof of a GED or higher education or complete the alternative assessment, have household income below 200% of the federal poverty level, and reside in a listed service county.

Service area: Eligible residents of Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, Caldwell, Burnet, or Blanco counties; the official program also serves Fayette, Lee, and Llano counties outside Central Texas.

About this service
The five-week program covers construction math, tool and job-site safety, building codes, pipe fittings, malfunction diagnosis, air-duct systems, and hands-on commercial, industrial, and residential HVAC work. Participants prepare for EPA 608 Universal, OSHA 10, and the Texas Registered ACR Technician license.
