How to get help
Request court-appointed counsel, including mental-health representation, through Travis County Court Administration. Assignment may be made to the Mental Health Division, CAPDS, or the Public Defender's Office.

People charged with a Class A or B misdemeanor, state-jail felony, or third-degree felony who qualify for court-appointed counsel and experience significant challenges related to mental health, intellectual disability, or developmental disability.
