How to get help
Representation begins through Board appointment. The incarcerated person must send an I-60 or letter by truck mail, mark the envelope 'Legal Mail,' and include the person's name and TDCJ-ID number. If served with legal papers, send them immediately with the request to the Conroe address. Family members cannot submit requests.

Indigent clients indicted for felonies allegedly committed while incarcerated within the TDCJ Correctional Institutions Division and appointed to IOIC representation.
