How to get help
ChildSafe places internal clinical-therapy referrals through Family Support Specialists or Community-Based Family Advocates at the caregiver's request after eligibility is confirmed. Call 210-675-9000 for help identifying the appropriate starting point.

Caregivers and children ages 3-10 affected by abuse trauma who are assessed as appropriate for this modality after an investigation has been initiated.

About this service
ChildSafe's Parent-Child Care intervention is a six-session treatment for caregivers and children who may have difficulty communicating and interacting in healthy ways, especially in relation to the child's trauma. It supports caregivers in building positive interaction skills.
