How to get help
Attend a listed Homebuyer Education Seminar, complete the application and required-document checklist, and reserve an appointment at an Application Fast Track Event. Applicants who cannot attend an event may contact Family Services to request an office appointment. Participation does not guarantee eligibility, mortgage prequalification, board approval, a home, or a closing.
Who this service helps
Applicants must demonstrate need for improved housing, generally have household income between 50% and 80% of Montgomery County area median income, be able to qualify for a third-party mortgage, pass a criminal background check, and agree to required education, counseling, and sweat equity. Every application is reviewed individually.
