How to get help
Use the official page to download an English or Spanish paper application or make an appointment, or call 800-621-5746. Local offices are listed in Jacksonville for Cherokee County, Longview for Gregg County, Henderson for Rusk County, and Tyler for Smith County. Processing may take 60-90 days after a complete application enters the queue; continue paying bills while awaiting a decision.
