How to get help
The official home page currently states that the office is not accepting new clients. It directs people to Texas Health and Human Services at 1-800-458-9858 for qualification; people over 60 who are not low-income may ask their health insurer about coverage, and callers may use 211 for other local resources. Call 903-593-7385 for general program and eligibility information.
Who this service helps
Generally age 60 or older, unable to prepare nutritious meals without another person in the home who can do so, living within reasonable proximity of a meal site, home to receive meals, and assessed for home-delivered meals. In some cases, caregivers or people under 60 with temporary or permanent disabilities may qualify.
