About this service

Discernment counseling helps partners clarify their next step when one or both are uncertain about committing to couples therapy. Sessions include time together and individual time with the provider while partners consider continuing the relationship as it is, separating or divorcing, or committing to a defined period of couples counseling with goals. The practice describes a typical course of three to seven sessions.
