How to get help
A family member or legally authorized representative should call the YES Waiver Interest List message line at 940-397-3187. Placement follows a first-come, first-served interest list based on registration date.
Who this service helps
Children and adolescents ages 3–18 with a diagnosed serious emotional disturbance who meet psychiatric-hospital level-of-care criteria, qualify for Medicaid, and live in a home setting with a legal guardian or independently when no longer under guardianship.

About this service
The Youth Empowerment Services Waiver is a Medicaid 1915(c) program that funds intensive community-based services for children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbance and their families. Services can include respite, community-living and family supports, transition services, adaptive aids, minor home modifications, nonmedical transportation, professional and paraprofessional services, and supportive family-based alternatives.
