How to get help
Submit the Peer Application on the official page. PSI then sends an EPDS questionnaire, schedules a phone call, provides an online orientation and peer agreement, and matches the applicant with a mentor. Contact [email protected] with program questions.
Who this service helps
Peers must be struggling with a perinatal mood disorder and be within the perinatal period from conception through two years postpartum, including loss and post-termination. The program is not for people experiencing suicidal ideation.
Where this service is available
Service area: Remote one-to-one peer support available to eligible parents in the North Texas region and elsewhere.
A service area describes where help is offered or who may be served. It is not necessarily the organization’s physical location.
About this service
PSI thoughtfully matches parents who are struggling with perinatal mental-health challenges with trained volunteers who have lived experience and have fully recovered from a perinatal mood disorder. Weekly communication is intended to reduce isolation, provide education, break stigma, and offer encouragement and hope.
