How to get help
Review the official eligibility page, attend an information session, and apply. Capital IDEA then meets with the applicant to develop a career plan and complete the program review.
Who this service helps
Applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, generally lack an associate degree or higher unless an exception applies, meet residency, work-authorization and income requirements, and commit to completing an approved pathway, beginning a career, working in Central Texas for at least two years, and giving back to the community.

Capital IDEA funds approved education in information technology, health care, applied technology, design and manufacturing, and union construction trades, with ongoing Career Navigator support, possible child-care assistance, and job-placement guidance.
