How to get help
Complete the statement accurately, attach available proof of qualifying benefits or legal-aid eligibility, sign under penalty of perjury or use an appropriate sworn alternative, file it with the court handling the case, and attend any noticed contest hearing with evidence of income, expenses, benefits, and other relevant finances.
Who this service helps
For a person who cannot afford Texas civil-court costs because the person receives need-based public benefits, is represented by or financially qualified for legal aid, or lacks enough money after basic household needs to pay the fees. The court or a contesting party may require a hearing and proof.

Cost / fees
