Confirm residency, venue, and that the existing child order remains final and unchanged; complete and file the Set C petition and applicable fee-waiver form; arrange the respondent's answer or valid waiver; satisfy waiting and notice requirements; prepare the decree and testimony; finish the uncontested hearing or prove-up; and obtain and distribute the signed decree and required transfer documents.
Who this service helps
For married Texas filers who have minor children together, already have a final court order for custody and support of those children, need no changes to that order, and can complete the divorce as an uncontested case. Other facts or disputed issues require a different form set or legal advice.
