How to get help
For a mental-health emergency requiring immediate S.M.A.R.T. assistance, call 911. The county separately directs people already in crisis to the Center for Health Care Services crisis line at 210-223-7233.

About this service
The Specialized Multidisciplinary Alternate Response Team brings a mental health professional, peer support specialist, qualified mental health specialist, trained law-enforcement officer and paramedic to eligible emergency calls indicating a mental-health need.
