How to get help
Apply through Texas WIC or call the most convenient WCCHD WIC clinic for an appointment. Bring identification, proof of current address, and household-income or qualifying-benefit documentation; applicants complete a health screen and nutrition assessment.
Who this service helps
Eligible groups include pregnant women, women breastfeeding a baby younger than one year, women who delivered within the past six months, and infants and children younger than five whose parent, guardian, step-parent, or foster parent applies. Income and nutritional-risk requirements apply; Medicaid, TANF, or SNAP participation can establish income eligibility.
